System Architecture and Design

Paramo Applications are built using the Microsoft .net technologies, and the SQL server 2008 database ( the SQL 2008 R2 database is installed by default). This provides a flexible system, which can be setup without any specialist skills. Paramo applications are distributed designs, where the client and database server are independant applications. You can setup on a single computer, a local intranet or a company domain. By default, the main application operates in single user mode. The client design is based on the 'smart client' approach which makes use of the power and storage capabilities of client pcs to provide quick response and enhanced user interfaces. Database transactions are also under transaction control to eliminate data corruption. An error log file is maintained by each client and the server, allowing for error analysis.
