Navigation: Start the application and select the Database – Setup from the Server Login Page.

This application uses the SQLEXPRESS 2008 R2 database engine by default. A database (file name PARAMOPRO1) is installed as the default database when the application is first started.  In most cases, you will need a Windows account with Administrator priviledges to create and operate the database.

The SQL Express database is limited to a maximimum 10 GB datafile size.  If you need more capacity, the SQLSERVER database engine must be installed, which may require a licence. You can change to SQLSERVER from the Settings options (button located on the top toolbar).

You can also manage database backups from the Microsoft SQL Server Express management tool. This is a free download from Microsoft.com. Using this tool requires some previous knowledge of database administration.
