Main Application Installation (Server)

  1. Click on the download link for a file named paramo_pro_srv.exe.
  2. When the download pop-up box appears, click on Run to start the download.
  3. Once the download is complete, the setup process will start.
  4. The installer will check for prerequisites and install them if not found. See System Requirements.
  5. The main application by default is in multi-user mode, and must be kept running to respond to client requests from other computers. Only logged in users can read or update the database.
  6. To refuse client connections, go to File - Client to Server and uncheck multi-user mode.
  7. For Login use 'Administrator' / 'Administrator' .  Generally, a password is not required with main application login.

Client Applications (multi - user operation)

  1. Click on the client download link for a file named paramo_pro_client.exe, and start the download.
  2. The number of clients depends on your licence.
  3. See client to server setup instructions.

Installation Fault Finding

The main application requires a Windows Administrator for certain actions like creating the database and logging in.

The most common problem during the install process is insufficient permissions to create folders or read or write to files, usually where the application data is stored (typically  C:\ProgramData \Hallion Systems\Paramo Pro .  The  'ProgramData'  may be a hidden folder. Select "Show hidden files, folders, and drives" from Windows Explorer to view this folder.
